Your Roseville water utility is committed to delivering safe, reliable and high-quality water to you. One of the ways we do this is through our cross connection and backflow prevention program.

Annual testing

Roseville requires annual backflow prevention device testing on water service lines for commercial/domestic use, irrigation and fire sprinklers to eliminate actual or potential cross connections into public water supplies.

This maintenance program prevents delivered water from re-entering the public distribution system and delivered to consumers.

Our preventative actions and measures follow the guidelines set forth in the State of California Administrative Code, Title 17-7583 and the City of Roseville Municipal Code, Section 14.10.010.

Backflow test reports

Customers notified of a defective backflow assembly must bring their device up to proper operating conditions and have it retested for accuracy by a certified City of Roseville Backflow Prevention Tester within thirty (30) days.

Failure to respond and/or repair the backflow assembly will result in termination of the customer’s water service per the City of Roseville Municipal Code, Section 14.10.110 and the State of California Administrative Code, Title 17-7583.
