Charge Ahead Roseville

Electric transportation is an emerging technology poised for rapid adoption in the United States. According to a report by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT), there are expected to be more than 3 million electric vehicles (EVs) on the road by 2025.

This signals a positive change, both for the local economy as well as the environment. Roseville Electric Utility is committed to being a part of this growth and change for local businesses and residents alike with new EV programs and incentives. This includes partnering with local business owners to increase the number of charging stations available throughout the city. “While the vast majority of electric vehicle charging is and will continue to be at home, public and workplace charging options allow drives to take advantage of times and places where electric vehicles are parked,” said Mark Riffey, senior program manager with Roseville Electric Utility.

The benefits add up for Roseville residents as well. The cost of electricity for Roseville customers to charge an electric vehicle is much less than the cost of gasoline. On average, a gallon of gas costs twice as much as it does to run an EV. In addition to lower fuel costs, EV owners can expect lower maintenance costs. no oil changes, and the convenience of charging your vehicle at home.
