Updated July 01, 2019

After a highly competitive recruitment process, Jason Shykowski has been selected as the City of Roseville's new Public Works Director by City Manager Dominick Casey.

As a licensed civil and traffic engineer, Jason has 25 years of engineering experience, all but one of those years working for the City of Roseville.

As Public Works Director, Jason’s areas of responsibility include floodplain management; traffic engineering; traffic signal maintenance; construction of roads, bridges, bike trails, and City buildings; road way maintenance; storm drains; City building maintenance and cleaning; the City bus system; and the maintenance of City vehicles and equipment.

Jason’s openness to new ways of doing things was a key factor in his selection, along with strong support from the Public Works department.   Jason’s institutional knowledge and leadership will be a tremendous asset to our City’s leadership team.

He graduated from Roseville High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from UC Davis.
