National Public Works Week

National Public Works week is here! From May 15 – 21, the nation will recognize those who serve their communities on a daily basis. But what does “public works” mean? To Roseville Utilities, it means Devotion to Duty.

Despite what is happening around the world or what the weather is like, our crews keep the water running; they keep the lights on; they remove waste from the city; they ensure our homes can warm up or cool down; they keep the sewers clean and wastewater moving – and they ensure Roseville residents receive the best service possible.

This week, show your appreciation to our crews out in the field and tag us on your social media (@RosevilleUtilities) when you see us keeping Roseville one of the best places to live. Include #NationalPublicWorksWeek to be part of the national recognition.

Also, let your little ones get creative with our COLORING PAGE and share it with us! Send all pages to [email protected] and we will display them on our social media.

Ready and Resilient

The American Public Works Association (APWA) has announced the theme "Ready & Resilient".

Within every public works professional lies a superhero, which is dramatically represented in this year's theme. Public works professionals are always READY to serve their communities and RESILIENT as ever in their abilities to pick themselves up off the ground after encountering challenges.

The "Ready & Resilient" theme highlights the ability of these professionals to perform regular public works duties and be ready at a moment's notice to react as first responders during natural disasters and overcome trials seen in the field.

Public works superheroes help keep communities strong by providing an infrastructure of services in transportation, water, wastewater and stormwater treatment, public buildings and spaces, parks and grounds, emergency management and first response, solid waste, and right-of-way management. They are what make our communities great places to live and work. So join us in celebrating these superheroes!
