The City of Roseville was recently presented with three prestigious awards for excellence in technology, innovation, and community-building.
- MISAC Excellence in IT Practices Award: The Municipal Information Systems Association of California has recognized the City of Roseville for eight consecutive years for its exceptional technology governance and operational practices.
- Digital Cities Award: Government Technology Magazine has honored the City of Roseville for ten years in a row, applauding our innovative use of technology to address social challenges, enhance services, and fortify cybersecurity.
- OnCon Top 10 Technology Team Awards: In a global competition, Roseville emerged as having one of the top technology teams worldwide, showcasing excellence in Legal Counsel, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Cybersecurity.
“The City of Roseville has been focusing on technology and infrastructure upgrades for the new, post-pandemic work environment,” said Roseville Chief Information Officer Hong Sae. “We are hyper-focused on bringing smart city technologies to Roseville to improve the interaction with our residents and businesses.”
Among the City’s technology projects highlighted these awards were:
- The development and implementation of myRSVL, a multi-channel customer platform for the reporting and tracking of service requests.
- Implementation of Roseville Utilities Advanced Metering Infrastructure project modernizing the City’s utility metering system with wireless meter readings and service.
- Expansion of the City’s open data portal with Open Roseville, Open Budget, and Open Projects modules providing easy-to-use City data allowing the community to more actively participate in enhancing public services.
These awards underscore the City’s commitment to exceeding industry technology standards in the areas of customer-centric approaches, efficiency, data governance, security, resilience, support, connectivity, innovation, and best practices in information technologies.
