Construction plans for Harry Crabb Park move ahead
The next phase of construction at Crabb Park will begin by the end of July after the Roseville City Council approved financing and awarded a construction bid at its July 10, 2019 meeting.

Seven acres of the 19-acre park at Scarborough Drive and Secret Ravine Parkway has been developed already, including sand volleyball courts, a covered picnic area, a children’s play area and horseshoe courts.

The remainder of the development will include a recirculating spray-ground water-play area, restroom, covered picnic area, expansion and paving of the parking lot, baseball fields, a soccer field, a full court for basketball, two tennis, and two pickleball courts.

The $5.5 million contract was awarded to Sierra Valley Construction. Completion of the park was on hold due to lack of funds available in the General Fund for ongoing maintenance of the park.

Community feedback received through Engage Roseville highlighted this as a priority, and the approval of Measure B by voters last November will provide additional funding, which allows for maintenance of the park once it’s completed.
