We are beginning a project near Saugstad Park July 9 to restore the creek bank from years of erosion, improve the streamflow, and reduce sedimentation.
This improvement project will enhance habitat within Dry Creek by protecting and improving ecological, recreational, and aesthetic features on this section of the creek. Funded by Proposition 1 through the California Natural Resource Agency’s Urban Rivers Program, this project will allow for needed improvements to a critical Roseville waterway.
Construction will take approximately six to eight weeks. We plan to complete the project with habitat plantings by September 2021.
During construction, bike trails and access to the creek near Saugstad Park and the Chamber of Commerce building may be limited at certain times. However, we do not anticipate traffic or roadway impacts at this time.
Things to consider when around the trail:
- A portion of the multi-use trail adjacent to Saugstad Park will be closed to the public from approximately July 12 through August 6.
- During the closure, please use the marked detour, or choose an alternate route.
- Please note that the schedule is subject to change due to weather, equipment, and other unexpected conditions.
