This July, join Roseville Parks, Recreation & Libraries (PRL) for National Park and Recreation Month, as we celebrate how Roseville is stronger, more vibrant and more fun because of what parks and recreation does in our community every day.
“July is the perfect time to celebrate how our park and recreation professionals in Roseville support the community and provide essential services,” said Parks, Recreation & Libraries Director Jill Geller. “Our team is leading initiatives and providing opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and identities to achieve healthier lifestyles, promote and understand nature, and come together as a community through a variety of programs and services.”
Roseville PRL was recently named as a finalist for the prestigious National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management. The award is given out by the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA), in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). The Gold Medal Awards program honors communities in the United States that demonstrate excellence in parks and recreation through long-range planning, resource management, volunteerism, environmental stewardship, program development, professional development and agency recognition. This year's winners will be announced at the 2022 NRPA Annual Conference in September.
