Construction of the first phase of Dry Creek Greenway East began in early January.
The new trail will extend from Riverside Avenue to Rocky Ridge Drive and provide an important transportation connection between schools, businesses, and neighborhoods.
The project is a vital component of the City of Roseville’s growing trail network. It will be an important pathway for transportation, recreation, and students traveling to school.
Once complete:
- It will link schools, businesses and residential neighborhoods.
- Create regional connections.
- The project is part of a series of existing and planned trails which will form a loop around the greater Sacramento area.
The project has been years in the making with robust input from the public, neighbors and stakeholders since 2008 that has shaped the design of the trail.
What to expect during construction
Working hours are anticipated for 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. on weekdays. It will take approximately two and a half years to complete.
No significant impacts to vehicle or pedestrian traffic are anticipated at this time.
Please note the schedule is subject to change due to equipment, materials, weather, and other unexpected conditions.
Funding for the project comes from a combination of state, federal, and local transportation dollars. No City General Fund or Measure B funds are contributing to the trail.
