Roseville Utilities' youth art contest is back for 2024 and we want you to get creative again. From now until September 30, we want you to break out your crayons, color pencils, paints, digital drawing pads, and any other medium you choose to show us how you see your superheroes from Roseville Utilities (garbage, water, wastewater, and electric).

Utility Superheroes

Using the theme “Utility Superheroes,” show us how our utility workers keep Roseville clean and thriving. Some ideas to get you going are:

1. Superhero Poses: Capture the unique essence and power of each superhero in a standalone, dramatic pose.

Example: Electric Empress in an electrifying pose with sparks of electricity connecting her fingertips and her eyes glowing with energy, symbolizing her control over electrical power.

2. Teamwork: Showcase how two or more superheroes collaborate to tackle a utility challenge.

Example: Water Wizard and Wastewater Warrior working together to repair blue (fresh water) and purple (recycled water) pipes underground.

3. In Action: Illustrate superheroes actively using their powers in real-world utility scenarios.

Example: Garbage Guardian compacting and minimizing a large amount of waste at a community park, turning a chaotic scene into a clean and orderly environment.

Selection criteria

Entries will be screened based on message, merit, creativity, and originality by Roseville Utilities staff. We will select three finalists from each age group that will be put to a Community Choice vote on social media. The highest voted contestant from each age group will be named a Community Choice winner.
