Public Right-of-Way

The City of Roseville recognizes a need to accommodate the disabled within the public right-of-way. The City has spent numerous staff hours meeting with the community members with disabilities and other governmental agencies, and researched State and Federal standards regarding sidewalks and access ramps within the public right-of-way. The result has been the adoption of the City's Improvement and Construction Standards. These standards, which were developed cooperatively with the community, take an aggressive approach in providing accessibility that meets or exceeds all State and Federal regulations. The City requires compliance with these standards for all new construction and upgrades of existing facilities within the public right-of-way.
