Roseville was named a top 3 finalist for the fifth annual Smart Cities North America Awards (SCNAA) by IDC Government Insights.
The SCNAA recognize local governments that demonstrate best practices in effectively leveraging technology and innovation to offer new services and economic opportunities to its residents.

Roseville was nominated in the category of Data-Driven Policing for leveraging technology through the use of OpenData crime statistics, the body-worn camera program and updating the NextGen911 phone system among others. These were just a few of the public safety related projects identified in Roseville’s Vision 2020 and the 2021-22 Citywide Technology Work Plan.
“Now in our fifth year, we are thrilled to witness the continued growth of innovative smart city initiatives, across all categories, to enhance service delivery, drive new revenue streams and spur economic development,” said Ruthbea Yesner, Vice President, IDC Government Insights and Smart Cities and Communities Strategies.
