Help us remain a FEMA Class 1 community

Roseville has made significant investments in flood mitigation improvements and instituting a comprehensive floodplain management program.

As a result, Roseville became the first city in the United States to hold a Class 1 rating as part of FEMA’s Community Rating System, a coveted status with only 2 in the nation.

Having a high percentage of flood insurance policies helps Roseville remain a FEMA Class 1 community. This rating benefits Roseville by helping provide grant funding for flood protection improvements. Residents and businesses also receive a 45% premium discount for NFIP-backed policies.

The City is taking additional steps to meet a higher level of federal maintenance standards. To meet FEMA’s reporting requirements, the City needs your participation.

If you have a non National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) backed flood insurance policy please let us know.

The policy declaration page will state “National Flood Insurance Program” or “NFIP” if the policy is NFIP-backed. If it’s not stated, the policy is provided by the secondary market.
