Paving

Resurfacing planned through 2029

Quail Glen Neighborhood
The Quail Glen neighborhood is scheduled for resurfacing in early August through summer. This work protects streets and reduces the need for costly street repairs in the future.

To prepare the streets for paving, Public Works crews use high-quality pavement sealers to ensure that roads are in optimal condition for resurfacing.

Affected residents will receive information in the mail and at their doorstep.

This work is part of a 5-year Residential Resurfacing Plan and is paid for by the Highway Users Tax and Senate Bill 1 Road Maintenance & Rehabilitation.

Sun City Neighborhood
The Sun City neighborhood was resurfaced in phases from 2021 through 2024, with curb ramp upgrades and roadway resurfacing completed to improve accessibility and roadway longevity. Phase 1 was completed in 2021, phase 2 in 2023 and phase 3 in 2024.

This work was funded by the Highway Users Tax, Senate Bill 1 Road Maintenance & Rehabilitation, and CalRecycle’s Rubberized Pavement Grant, totaling approximately $15.49 million. The project also diverted over 24,000 California waste tires from landfills through rubberized pavement use.
