Victim left wallet inside a locker provided by the fitness center. At approximately 1349 hours, Victim received a fraud alert from her bank regarding fraudulent activity on her account. Victim was able to prevent the transaction from happening. She then looked in her wallet and noticed one of her credit cards was missing. The first attempted charge was for $8,011.72 and the second attempted charge was shortly after for approximately $3,000 in San Jose. Neither of the charges were successful transactions. |

Victim's computer alerted a security concern with a phone number to call to resolve issue. Victim was told that the computer had a virus from watching child porn. Victim stated they did not watch child porn but was convinced they needed to pay a fine to not be held criminally liable. Victim went to the bank, pulled out $5.000.00 in cash, and drove to a location as instructed and deposited the money into a Bitcoin account that was unrecoverable. |
