Ready for an unforgettable week of action, teamwork, and hands-on learning? Roseville Fire Kids Camp is a five-day experience where kids step into the world of firefighting and emergency response alongside professional firefighters.

Throughout the week, campers will train, learn new skills, and work as a team—building confidence, leadership, and friendships along the way. The week wraps up on Friday with a Muster Challenge, where families are invited to watch campers put their skills to the test in friendly team competitions.

What Campers Will Experience

Camp activities include:

  • Firefighting basics

  • Rescue techniques and rappelling

  • Auto extrication

  • Water safety

  • First aid and CPR

  • Babysitting basics

  • Fitness and teamwork challenges

This camp is designed to be fun, challenging, and rewarding for motivated youth who enjoy being active and learning in a structured environment.

General Camp Information

Campers - 11-14 year olds

Campers

  • Ages: 11–14 years old as of June 8, 2026

  • Commitment: Full week attendance required

  • Cost: $395 for the week

Roseville Fire Kids Camp is designed for youth who are curious about the fire service and eager to learn what it takes to be a firefighter. Campers will spend the week learning, training, and participating in hands-on activities led by fire department professionals.

This camp is a great opportunity to challenge yourself, build confidence, work as part of a team, and make new friends.

Important Safety Information

Roseville Fire Kids Camp involves rigorous physical activity, including wearing fire personal protective equipment (turnout jackets, helmets, leather gloves, and eye protection). Campers must be able to listen carefully, follow instructions, process information quickly, and respond promptly to direction to ensure a safe and successful experience.

Junior Counselor - 15 year olds

Junior Counselors

  • Ages: 15 years old as of June 8, 2026

  • Experience: Must have attended at least one year as a camper

  • Commitment: Full week attendance required

  • Cost: $225 for the week

Roseville Fire Kids Camp is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Junior Counselors to help support campers and camp staff throughout the week. This role is ideal for returning campers who want to take the next step by building leadership skills while helping create a safe, fun, and positive camp experience.

Role Overview

Under the direction of camp staff, Junior Counselors assist with daily activities, support campers, and help ensure a safe and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting with daily camp activities and programs while following all safety protocols

  • Serving as a positive role model and mentor for campers

  • Helping lead team-building activities that promote cooperation and teamwork

  • Supporting counselors and staff with conflict resolution when challenges arise

  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging, inclusive activities

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • One year of prior camp participation required

  • Ability to work well in a team environment with flexibility and a positive attitude

  • Interest in leadership development and mentoring younger campers

Being a Junior Counselor is a great opportunity to gain leadership experience, strengthen teamwork skills, and help create unforgettable moments for campers.

  • Dates & Times: Monday–Friday, June 8–12, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    Campers and Junior Counselors must attend all five days.

  • Location: Roseville Fire Training Center
    2030 Hilltop Circle, Roseville, CA

  • Monday Drop-Off: Parents are asked to stay briefly for a short parent meeting covering camp expectations and a weekly overview.

  • Thursday Water Safety Day:
    Campers will be dropped off at Sunsplash, transported by City buses to Folsom Lake for water safety instruction led by State Parks Lifeguards, then returned to Sunsplash for lunch and supervised time on the water slides.
    Pick-up will be at Sunsplash at 4:30 p.m.

  • Friday Muster Challenge: Families are invited to attend and cheer on campers as they compete in team-based challenges (time TBD).

  • Meals: Lunch and snacks are provided daily.

  • Gear: Each participant receives two team shirts and must wear a team shirt each day. A water bottle is also provided.

  • Listen closely to instructions

  • Follow directions quickly and safely

  • Work as part of a team in a structured environment

Application Process

As part of the application process, prospective campers and Junior Counselors must submit:

  • A letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, scout leader, or other trusted adult

  • A one-page essay explaining why they want to attend Roseville Fire Kids Camp

  • Applications will be accepted till March 11, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

  • Applicants will be notified of their selection status no later than March 30, 2026.
