Licensing Your Animal
The City of Roseville has partnered with PetData, the nation's only full-service animal registration provider and together they remind you that now is a great time to license your dog. Roseville's partnership with PetData makes licensing your pet easier than ever! Two options are available for licensing your Roseville pet:
Mail
To license by mail, simply mail a copy of your pet's current rabies certificate, along with your check to City of Roseville Animal Licensing, C/O PetData, PO Box 141929, Irving, TX 75014.
Online
To license online, go to http://www.petdata.com/ and enter your zip code under License Now. Select ‘Online' in the green box and follow the instructions. You can license multiple pets at the same time, and easily upload required documents. All major credit cards are accepted, and a small convenience fee will apply per transaction.
The City of Roseville encourages spaying and neutering. The license fee for an altered pet is $24 for a one-year license, and the fee for an unaltered pet is $48 for a one-year license. Two and three-year licenses are also available if your dog's vaccination will be valid for the same time period.
For Senior Citizens age 65 or older, license fees are discounted by $5.
Taking time to license your pet now could save you money in the future! Licensing is required for all dogs 4 months and older in Roseville. A late fee will apply for licenses purchased over 30 days late.
Purchasing a license and attaching it to your pet's collar is one of the most important things you can do as a responsible pet owner. Displaying a current license tag on your pet's collar makes it easy for animal control officers and shelter employees to quickly locate a lost pet's owner information. It could be your pet's ticket home!

Did you know that licensing benefits you, the dog owner? Here's how...
- Animal Control officers have a record of all vaccinated dogs so vaccinations can be verified if a bite occurs.
- Dogs see a veterinarian for rabies vaccination a minimum of every 3 years. Owners receive valuable education about pet overpopulation and canine disease prevention.
- Owners who license their dogs on time save up to $10 in late fees and up to $400 in court fines for failure to license.
- Owners are more likely to get their dogs back if the dogs are wearing a current Roseville license tag.
- Licensing revenue pays for emergency medical care for injured stray animals until the owner can be found. This revenue source assures owners that their animals will be transported to a veterinarian if found injured.
- If a currently vaccinated dog is exposed to a rabies positive animal, it may be quarantined. Conversely, if an animal's vaccination has expired or is not valid, it is generally destroyed.
