The more than 13,000 street lights throughout Roseville will be upgraded to LED lights beginning late this summer, saving money on power usage and maintenance costs.
“Cities nationwide are installing LED street lights. They are the future and meet all national lighting standards,” said Roseville Electric Utility Operations Manager, Jason Grace.
Some downtown and newly constructed neighborhoods have already been upgraded. Additional upgrades on heavily traveled streets will be done during evening hours and may require lane closures. Work will continue in the remaining residential areas during regular working hours over the next three years.
