Residents of a newly developed Fiddyment Farm neighborhood came together on July Fourth in celebration and support of the greater Roseville community.
The area, comprised of 250 homes, began gathering for small community events as neighbors moved in. With a desire to make a difference, the group began collecting donations for local charities. The Roseville Police Activities League (RPAL) was unanimously selected as their non-profit of choice for this Fourth of July.
The neighborhood organized a parade followed by a celebratory gathering in Bev Bos Park. Among those who joined the celebration were Roseville Police Chief Troy Bergstrom, Captain Doug Blake, Sergeant Mike Ryland and three officers, along with Roseville Fire.
The neighborhood group presented Viviana Mason, Executive Director of RPAL, with a generous donation of $4,101 to help their mission:
To enrich the lives of Roseville youth by building positive relationships between youth, police officers, and the community through a broad range of accessible and affordable activities.
The donation will help fund youth programs like the homework club, cross-fit kids, creative arts, and summer activities.
“It takes a lot to keep our community safe, not just us, but all of you,” said Police Chief Troy Bergstom.
The Roseville Police Department and the Roseville Police Activities League send a tremendous thank you to the Fiddyment Farm neighbors.
